Police can now test for drug driving
Drugs, like alcohol, can impair driving ability and increase the risk of crashing. From 12 October 2007 police have been randomly stopping motorists and motorcyclists and testing them for illicit drugs.
Police can also stop drivers suspected of driving while impaired by any drug.
